WoolLights

I made this candle lights shell (I'm not sure how I call it yet) today for the wedding anniversary gift to my friends. I have purchased a quite few Wendsleydale wool to make them. There are several colors but I am glad I did not use red for this otherwise it would look like "heart organ", doesn't it? This is light lime green. I am very happy with it.
I have been struggling to find a right candle glass I can put in the wool shell. Its height should be more than 6cm so the candle flame wouldn’t come out of the glass. Even though wool generally wouldn’t catch the flame (amazing!) it’s safer to use one with certain height. Then it should be a cylinder shape. I found them at IKEA. It was not candle holder but a drinking glass. I was so happy when I found it. Didn’t cost much either.
I used a sanding machine when I made this it helped me to save a lot of time

A Great sale of wool yarns at Spotlight in Belrose

I went to the Spotlight yesterday to get a small thing and ended up to buy a huge bagful of many kinnds of wool yards which I will be able to use for my felting. They are just a half of the original price, it' s incredible!!! I am always looking for the nice colors of wool yards. The image is one of the 100% merino wool yards I bought which is beautifully died as gradation and thin and thick texture. I am going to use this when i make the candle holder sculpture... also Nunofelt scarf as well. Sooooo exciting!

CupMate :: My new product!

I am so excited about the new product I made this time because I love it and use it everyday.
It is hard for felters to make something you can sell in Summertime. The CupMate is the one you can sell and use it all year around.
I am making a lots of color variations. This will be on the shop very soon too.

Felted Postcard + Candle Holder

I made this new product. It's a felted postcard (a felted picture sheet and a paper card are jointed together), you can use it as candle holder as well. I really like the look of the felted picture casted by flickering candle light from the back. It's bit like a shadow picture. The nostalgic feelings. What do you think?

Making stocks of the Fried Egg Coasters

Because I sold a quite few of the fried egg coasters at the market, I need to make more stocks of them. I am really enjoying the procedure of making them, listening to the podcasts and wondering about those beautiful people who bought my fried egg coasters how they enjoy showing them to their friednds and laughing about it.... These fried egg coasters would at least make people smile. :-)
