Cheese Coaster day!

Photo
It's so nice to have sunshine in my kitchen particularly when I'm working on felting. You need to stand there for a while so that the sunshine would help me not to think I'm stuck in somewhere doing hard works and missing out beautiful Autumn day out there.

I like working on my ironing board for cutting and sawing other than ironing, yes, it is not big and wide but that's the point I like about because it stops me to spread all bits and pieces unnecessarily, I'm a pretty much "spreader".... I will finish making 38 cheese coasters today, Hurray!

Yes, started making eyeballs

Eyeballs making
Mike and I are staying in the art school today and I will do eye ball making. This is the first process-make the perfect (almost) shaped eyeballs by needle felting before wet felting. I keep the sample (above right) and all the eyeballs should be the same size and hardness. I use the very fine needles (from Japan), I made a set of three needles together with the blu tack, so I can make these needles stay close enough to fit in the surface of a small ball.

Eyeball before @ after
These are the sample of before the wet felting and after wet felting. I keep these samples for the quality control sake (ha!). I use the merino wool fleece.

My "Crocodile"

My favourite gadget "Crop-a-dile"
This is one of my favourite gadgets "Croc-A-Dile" which sets eyelets beautifully. I assume the most of people use it for the scrapbooking. I rather call it "Crocodile" because this is called "Big bite" version which can reach even 6 inch inside.
I love my "crocodile". My ReadingMate wouldn't be a proper a book mark without it. So, I decided to make eyelets done before bloody eyeballs making.

Making more eyeballs!

Making more eyeballs

I did not know how therapeutic to make eyeballs until I start making my "Mate" products. I believe that the art/craft people would sooner or later to improve their ability to use anything for everything to meet their needs of their art works. I use many kitchen tools for my felting (above img: the ice cube maker ) What is your strange and useful tools?

Making stocks of the Fried Egg Coasters

Because I sold a quite few of the fried egg coasters at the market, I need to make more stocks of them. I am really enjoying the procedure of making them, listening to the podcasts and wondering about those beautiful people who bought my fried egg coasters how they enjoy showing them to their friednds and laughing about it.... These fried egg coasters would at least make people smile. :-)
