Tomato coasters

I got a question how the red sheet of wool would turn into the tomato coasters.
I will show you. I cut it into a small square then decorate other wools on the top then do the regular wet felt procedure. Finally iron to flat then cut in shape. Done!

A beautiful day.

Warm sun & Cool breeze. Came to the oval with a dog and husband lying down on the bench with an umbrella over me. Looking at people playing cricket I've never understood. A perfect Sunday afternoon.

Let's try Ustream broadcast

I've known Ustream for a while but I haven't had a closer look and thought "what for?". Yes, it's like Twitter.

Now I found a reason to do Ustream. Sometimes I don't have enough motivation to start felting or crafting particularly after you stayed in hospital. Even though NO BODY is watching what you are doing in ustream but broadcasting what I am doing will give me a good motivation and remind me to enjoy doing it. Please come to see me if you need a company while you are doing your crafts.

OK Go's stop-motion on toast

A beautiful animation.

via MAKE Magazine by Laura Cochrane on 9/11/10

OK Go's latest video, "Last Leaf," employs pieces of toast as the canvas for a laser-etched, illustrated stop-motion music video. After watching the multitude of different shapes, textures, and shades of toast pass before my eyes (15 pieces of toast per second), it begins to remind me of watching an old reel-to-reel film in elementary school, with the rough texture of the toast and surrounding crumbs mimicking those telltale visual artifacts.

A Cool Rabbit

My car is not working well, Mike and I went up to see our friend to get his help. We visited his new place then we found a cute neighbour rabbit! I've never seen a pet rabbit with the harness & a bell on it! She is a cool one. Just laying there watching us doing the car job. Often she followed us around. What a lovely creature!

I'm home now!

Finally, I'm out of hospital! hurray! BUT still I'm on antibiotics for at least 3 weeks. See how it goes. Lots of house works today. Great feelings to move around.

Still in hospital :-(

Oh well, I've been here for 2 weeks now. A nurse said this morning I will be able to go home tomorrow... BUT (yes, I have a good reason to say a big BUT), you don't know if it will really really happen until it's done. I don't Know how many times I got disappointed. However I can't complain much because I'm lucky enough to live in the country I can get the good treatments with Medicare, really.

Making fire with Ikea products

I think this is a quite expensive way to make a fire even though it's very interesting.

I'm in hospital again :-(

I've been in hospital since Tuesday for my ankle bone infection, same problem.
I really hope it will be fixed to the point I don't have to come back another few years.

What a beautiful day today... Blue sky and sunshine....
I will stay here for another several days.
Lovely friends of mine visit me every day and some brought me a Japanese lunch! I feel so loved.

The Bacon & Fried egg scarf.

The Bacon & fried egg scarf
I've just made a custom order scarf. A lady who asked me to make it will give it to her friend who loves a bacon and fried egg. I hope she will like it.

The Bacon & Fried egg Scarf
Even though it is a pretty funny to wear it as a scarf, you can put it on the bag as an eye catch accessory.

To see the world inside a toilet paper roll...

I love the idea. I know this is something for me. Paper, Simple..Plenty of them at home!

It's a dreary, rainy day here in Virginia. Stuck inside the house, if I had young kids, this would make a fun activity, the kids probably tittering the whole time about building worlds inside of toilet paper tubes. We've covered Anastassia Elias' work here in the past, but it bears repeating.

Paper cuts - Rolls

The Photojojo store carries this crazy-realistic camera lens mug, only $24:
Behold, the Camera Lens Mug, a mug that looks JUST LIKE a 24-105mm lens!
It's equipped with a lens-cap lid (omg), rubber-grip focus and zoom rings (o…m…g), and an auto-focus switch that actually switches (OMG)! It's so realistic, you might have to use post-its just to remind yourself which is your mug and which is your lens!

Glebe Markets

Glebe Maekets 20100717

She loves my fried eggcoaster

It was wonderful sunny day. A perfect weather for the markets. I haven't done the markets this year until today. It took a little while to get used to setting up and tidying up. I had a wonderful neighbours who helped me a lot when I needed to nip out for bathroom or coffee. I sold enough to cover the markets fee and a little income. The most important thing was meeting wonderful people and let them know my products. Some kids were great they have a great imagination and their reactions to my products are inspiring. The end of the day I was very tired physically but I really enjoyed and can't wait for the next markets! Thank you all who came and touched my fried egg coasters and especially i thank you who purchased my products. xxx

Pencil iPad stand

I am not sure if I am going to make it for my iPad.... but I like the idea.

via MAKE Magazine by Adam Flaherty on 9/07/10

pencil-ipad-stand_2.jpg

Being able to tear down a project into reusable components is always a plus. If you can save yourself from purchasing a $30 paperweight or wasting perfectly good materials on something that will ultimately make it into the waste bin, all the better, right? That's why I like Julian Horsey's Pencil iPad Stand. It's just six pencils and four rubber bands. Presumably, when you're done watching a movie or playing PvZ, you can break it down and tuck it away into a pencil box. [via Geeky Gadgets]

Listening to "Marley & Me"

My lovely husband Mike hired an audiobook "Marley & Me" for me from the local library which I am listening to now. This is a small mp3 player called "play away" I've never seen like this before. So handy. you don't need a cd player or any other gadgets to play it. Just push the play button. Sent from Ako's iPhone

Bionic feet for amputee cat

I'm in hospital for three days now to fix my bone infection on my left ankle which got worse last week. My case is incurable so I have to make it under control by taking antibiotics for the rest of my life. Sometimes I wonder what if I chopped my foot off then get artificial foot (hopefully made of gold and diamond)? Then I don't have to take antibiotics for rest of my life... then I found this news from BBC. I smiled when I saw the video clip. You know I got a black cat called "Hunter" like this cat Oscar. So encouraging to see Oscar happily walking with his brand new legs! Well, I think I still keep my foot for a while. Have a look at BBC site from the following link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science_and_environment/10404251.stm
