Glebe Market!

The felted marshmallow earrings are my new products from this week!

The weather was not excellent (cloudy and freezing cold!) but I got my best record of selling today! Hurray! The felted soaps were almost sold out. I need to make more till next Saturday.
My husband and I were not well so I cancelled the market last week however because of the weather, the market itself had to close, oh well.
Hope we will have a nice and warm weather next Saturday!

It was a wonderful SUNNY market day!!

It's been raining quite a lot in Sydney. However, last Saturday was wonderfully sunny! I really enjoyed just being there in market! My friend and I got a spot under the tree this time and hired 2 tables, one for each. I could display my products very well. Easy to look at and they look so comfortable to sit there.

Making Felt Beads

I start making a quite few felt beads including the boild eggs and fried eggs which I love! Making jewelleries is rather new to me and I enjoy it. I feel making scarves and jewelleries are well balanced conbination in terms of physical works. I am waiting for my new jewellery tools arrived so I can start making hanging earings!

We did not make it to the Glebe Market this Saturday.

My friend Riyo and I left home 6am and got the market to get in a stand-by queue, we were 8^th even though we thought we arrived there much earlier than last Saturday (it was 7^th). I am not sure how early those people came for the market (phew!)

In the end, we could not get a spot neither did other quite a few people due to some mistakes by the office having done over booking and it also may be the case of people are rushing for the Mother’s day opportunity... Oh well, it’s a good lesson for us that “you should always pre-book to get a guarantee spot”which we did. So we got in the chocolate shop near by and Riyo bought me this beautiful indulging chocolate drink! Bless…

All afternoon Riyo and I spent time very productively. I made my Felt Ball Earrings and Riyo did her Jewelry making.

I made these with help of Riyo to give to Ino, a lovely girl and my friend who has just got her beautiful necklace broken which her big sister made and gave to her. She loved them and even my husband Mike approved as “Nice ones”.

Workshop "Introduction to Feltmaking"

I've been asked to open the workshop to experience the feltmaking because there are so many people who've never done it before. There are not many feltmakers in Sydney Australia unlike Melbourne or Queensland. I would love to share this wonderful textile with as many as possible.

However, planning workshops is not that easy job than I thought (phew!), I need to get ready the starting kit as well. Please give me some time to arrange that.

My first shop at the Glebe Market !!!

My First Shop at the Glebe Market! I opened my first shop at the Glebe Market on Satuday 2nd May. How exciting! I deeply thank you all who came to my shop at the market, particularly to whom purchased the products!! My friend and I are planning to do it again on 9th May if weather is OK. so please come and see me!

My friend Riyo and I share the table and do it together. We left home around 6.30am and got there 5 min before 7am. We are one of the "stand-by" people. Fortunately we could get a spot and hired a table to display our hand made felt products.

I was so pleased to have a chance to talk to nice people who shows interestes in the felting. I really hope more people get to know about one of the most wonderful textiles in the world!
